Game installed from both game pass and disc

Hello, I have a question, if a game is installed on my xbox from an active gamepass subscription, but I insert the disc with the game, will the game run from the disc or game pass? thank you

I have this issue with a few of my owned games disc and digital as none that I iwn have left game pass yet I can only assume when they do I will need to out the disc in for my disc games and my digital games will work from the licence, but at the moment
I can only wait and see.

u dont need the disc to play when u have both.

All games are installed to HDD (Internal or external USB) and are run from there regardless if they were purchased on disc or digital. Any games that you previously purchased on disc which are now included in GamePass no longer need the disc inserted to
confirm your purchase license as long as the title remains in GamePass as the system knows you are entitled to play it based on your GamePass subscription.

It remains to be seen what happens when a previously purchased disc title is removed from GamePass. Some of my disc titles fall into this category of having been added to GamePass however I can't comment about that leaving GamePass experience until it happens.

From experience, it will run from the hard drive/Game Pass first.

It does the digital version first like the others have stated.
