Game installation question, help!

Just bought an Xbox one and got a digital copy of forza 5 and a hard copy of far cry 4. To download and install the digital or hard copy's, does it take the 40 or so gb for each game off your internet usage or just storage? I have 50gb a month and I share
it with family which makes it hard, I'll be pretty unimpressed if it costs that much gb to download the game as well as purchasing it itself :/.

Game installation question.

I'm in the process of downloading a game on my X1. I was at 41% then my internet connection cut out. So after i re-booted it real quick i came back and instead of it resuming where it left off.. the installation dropped 10% and it started at 31%... Any reason
to this?? and is there a way to fix it? Thanks.

Hi there,

Games on the Xbox One are quite large. A typical full game can go up to 60GB. If a game is 40GB, it will be both 40GB to download and will use 40GB of the hard drive for storage. Xbox One game updates can also be quite large, in some cases up to 13GB,
although this is rather rare. So if you have a data cap, it may be an idea to change to a different provider.

If you buy a game on disc, you will be required to install whole game before you can play it fully. This will not use any of your download cap, unless the game also requires a update. The updates are no where the same size as the digital downloads though.

Be aware that this is the case on the PS4 too, even PC games are the same size.

So downloading may become an issue for you. Storage space shouldn't be as you can use external hard drives on the Xbox One.

As the above have said, mainly because the DRM was reversed early after E3. If it hadnt have been this wouldve been one of the cool features I wouldve been looking forward to.

To verify the liscence I believe. Since there is no 24 hour check in it is needed. That way you cant give it to someone else.
