Thanks for your reply. It solved the problem. By clicking each Install button it installed each game in approximately 10 seconds each (no actual download). Why didn't I try it escapes my mind. Thanks again.

On a separate note, is there any quicker way than to click each Install buttons? As I have many games installed along several portable drives and it takes time to fix one by one.

If you click on “install” what happens? The game starts downloading or an error code appears?
If you search the game (pressing the windows key + start typing the game) are you able to see a result or not at all?

In the meantime double check if everything is up to date

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update
Click Check for Updates

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Then, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too. (Click on get updates)

Now, go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Restart the PC and check if the game appears

Back up the game installation folder Go to the location where Forza Horizon 5 is installed on your D drive and copy the entire game folder to a safe place. Typically, the default installation location for Microsoft Store games is "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps". Locate the Forza Horizon 5 installation folder within that location.

Perform the reinstallation of Windows 11 Follow the process to reinstall Windows 11 on your computer as you normally do. This will format your C drive and reinstall the operating system.

on windows 11 syetem i installed a game that i already had on the windows 10 system to see what would happen, and it then showed up in the xbox app on windows 11. so im guessing i just had to select the same folder all the games were in and click install again and they would show up without the need to download them again
