any game i install on xbox game pass wont download and gives err 0x87e00196 ive reset, repaired, reinstalled xbox program and the windows store program and still nothing works

Done, no success. Games still throw Error: 0x87e00196 when attempting to install.

Yes on PC trying to install new games on pc now I have a new error code 0x87e00196

Okay so fixed that issue by unticking "ask me for install options on every install" but now get an error code "0x87e00196" trying to install anything

I was able to fix the 0x87e00196 error by myself. So I can install games from the PC Game Pass again.

Just had to reinstall the Gaming Services again...

Please try this :
Right-click the Windows Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following commands and press Enter:
Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices" -recurse

Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet" -recurse

Restart your device.
Start the Xbox application. You should see a blue banner with the following message: "This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"
Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services.
After the installation is complete, you should be able to install and start games again.
