    Until yesterday I had the game Dead by Daylight installed on my PC through the Xbox (beta) application for Windows 10. Today, when I tried to play, the game wouldn't start and it gave me this error code: 0x803F8001, saying it wasn't available for my account.
    I tried everything: changed the region of my PC, tried updating Windows (which I had to anyway), and reset Microsoft store several times; none of it worked and I still couldn't play, but only for that particular game, as I have other games included in game
    pass installed and there's no problem starting them.

    Finally, I thought I may have to reinstall the game, so, after uninstalling it, I just can't install it again. I tried through the Xbox app and through Microsoft store; I even tried through my browser, but I just can't download it without buying it anymore.
    My subscription to Game Pass PC is still active, and I can download every other game, except that one; the "You can play Dead by Daylight with Xbox Game Pass for PC or buy it" banner just doesn't appear at all.

    I thank you beforehand for your attention and any help you can provide.

    I have the same issue and the steps on that link didn't fix it.

    Also, I get the exact same error message:

    Dead By Daylight is currently not available in your account. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

    I found this answer in the forums at forums.deadbydaylight.com

    The game is apparently no longer available on Game Pass on the PC, but it is on the console.

    I contacted microsoft support and I got this message:

    "Thank you for confirming, I was investigating the case and I just found what happened: I see that the Xbox One version of the game is still available in Game Pass,
    but I'm sad to announce that the Windows version was removed from the Game Pass catalog, being honest I wouldn't be sure about when the game will be re-added to the subscription, but you can always get a digital copy of the game through the
    Microsoft Store and it will remain on the account forever so you can play it at any time"

    You don't have to have Game Pass to buy a game. That game isn't included with Game Pass currently anyway and is not available for purchase for PC through Microsoft.
