    Game error takes to long to open and won't load especially fortnite


    so fortnite is being annoying and error pops up when I try to play it and it just says error takes to long to open every time and then after opening and closing it for half a hour it lets me on but then the game won't work properly the game graphics are
    all blobby and out of place then half way through it kicks me out anyone have any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix it

    Fortnite

    Hoping someone can help, experiencing problems launching certain games on our Xbox 1s. Forza is working, however Fortnite & Battlefront 2 are not. Fortnite attempts to load & then comes up with an error message saying “Please try again, Fortnite has taken
    too long to start (0X8027025A)”. Have followed troubleshooting advice provided by Microsoft online but hasn’t resolved it. Can anyone help? Thanks

    I did the soft reset and that did not help.

    Forza 4 will not load at all. It says Forza 4 took to long to start. I have to try two or three times on some other games before they will launch.

    I have cleared the mac address twice and that did not help. I uninstalled Forza 4 and reinstalled and that did not help.

    I am dreading to have to do a full factory reset.

    I have a 2nd xbox one in the bedroom and the games load perfect on that xbox.

    I had this same issue last night. I had to clear the MAC address for it to work properly again.

    Settings- All settings - Network - Advanced Network - Alternate MAC address- Clear - Reset

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums for this issue. Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty getting games to start up in a timely fashion. Since it happened during the latest update, you may want to try a soft factory reset to your console to remove
    any potentially damaging files on the OS or any corrupted data that may have happened. This will allow you to keep your games & apps installed and save some time later. And if something funky happened during the latest update, this should get it all cleared
    up or prompt the console to re-do it.

    How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One

    Note: You'll want to be sure that you know the email address and password for any profiles on the console before performing this step as they will be removed during the reset.

    Give it a try and please let us know the results!
