Game DVR Not working properly. Please acknowledge and fix this.

XBOX support, please acknowledge this is a problem!!

When you pay $500 for a console, you expect advertised functions to work. I feel a little sad and hopeless when clips I think are being recorded don't record at all.

I went through the troubleshooting steps while on the phone with xbox support which included:

1. removing profile
2. clearing Persistent storage under Disc & Blu-ray
3. Uninstalling upload studio
4. removing power from the wall to the power brick and from the xbox to the power brick
   
5. waiting 5 minutes
6. plugging everything back in
7. signing back in

After these steps, I play a game and here is what will happen:

• I will say "XBOX Record That"
• I will get a notification that the clip was recorded
• Game DVR might work, and if it does, it will only work for a short amount of time and then go back to giving me the same error
  "Try a different game clip", "That one was deleted or never published. (0x80040212)"
  
• After I get this error, Game DVR will never work for me again unless I remove power from the system or go through those steps again.
  

There are at least 20-30 threads regarding Game DVR problems on this forum alone. I stopped counting. There are more.

To all of my fellow gamers having this issue, please add your Game DVR issue here as well even if you have already posted elsewhere. I'm hoping this will become a sticky thread.

Im having this probblem on my xbox one too but only when I record bf4 gameplay. It pisses me off some times when I have a realy good kill run but the I go and snap dvr and then try end clip for 5 mins im lucky to get 40 seconds. I hope xbox or who ever
sorts this out.

I'm thinking it is a software issue. It seems like only a few consoles are affected. I had mine working the other day, but now it's back to doing only a couple seconds or it doesn't record at all and gives me an error.

 

Am sure there working on this.

I had this issue but all of a sudden sound come back

 

I sure hope they are. I chose this console over the competition. Once this is fixed, I have no choice but to give this rig an A+.

 

I also have this problem. Hope they fix soon. I have been in all the betas and am willing to test a fix if someone reads this.

 

I'm having this problem too! i sent major nelson a tweet hoping word will spread. This really sucks and needs a fix. The biggest feature for me personally is the game dvr.

 

I have had same issue. It was recording clips fine. then 3 days ago, it just stopped. I do get the notifications that it did record, but there is not clips to be found.

I do hope they get this fixed

 

Same problem. Called support, and they had me delete and resync profile. That worked for week or so and now the problem has come back because my clips are not recording again.

"Try a different game clip. That one was deleted or never published." (0x80040212)

Please fix

 

I also have this issue. Seems to start when playing a game like trails fusion when it auto records a clip for you. After it's recorded a clip for you no others will record after even tho it says it has. They don't show in your "my clips" and the notification
comes up with error when you try to play it. To fix this you hold the power button for 10 seconds to reset the console. Boot it back up and it should work fine after this. Well until it auto records something again.

There are certain methods that will temporarily fix the issue, but nothing that is reliable. It would be horrible that after every clip I record that I have to power cycle my xbox one. It would be awesome if it just worked.

 

im having the same issue but my dvr just sat there trying to load the game footage i recorded i was sitting there for about an hour seeing if it would respond, all it did was same loading circle over and over again

 

Having the same issue, so frustrating and annoying especially when you do something hilarious /stupid and want to show your friends, please acknowledge & fix!
