    Game DVR does not record the whole video


    Hi Guys,

    let me explain my problem: I want to record gameplays through the Xbox App. So when I´m streaming from my XOne to the Xbox App on Windows 10, it only records like 20-40 seconds of the gameplay. Lets say I´m recording 10 minutes and then I stop the Recording...
    it takes about 3-4 seconds to save the Video etc.. And right after that another grey bar appears in the bottom-right corner with some Details about the Video. And it says that the recorded video has a length of 24 seconds, or 13 seconds, just randomly any
    length between 10-40 seconds, Doesn´t matter how long i record.

    Is anybody facing the same issues?

    Game DVR Not Recording Audio

    Ever since the update the Game DVR does not record audio. It records video, with total silence. I'm not the only one affected. I recorded 6 clips from Destiny and more from Forza Horizon 2. Silence.

    Is there a way to turn off AUTOMATIC Game DVR Recordings?

    I would like a way to keep my game DVR running, but disable games from automatically deciding when to record a clip. Does this exist? I realize that the whole game DVR can be turned off, but then I cannot record anything at all.

    If this is currently not possible, it absolutely needs to be.

    There's also a good way around this by opening Picture in Picture, then record w/kinect, start it recording then begin your game DVR recording on your game. When done sync them and you have a livecam.

    Yes, DVR functionality does drop the video quality. Kinect runs at 1080p.

    Sorry but you cannot record live TV from the Xbox One using DVR. You can only use the DVR to record Xbox One video games.

    No, your specific TV volume will not change the recorded volume of in-game sound on DVR. With certain external video editing software, It seperates the video track from the audio, allowing adjustment of sound level, as well as the adding of more audio tracks
    (I.E., music, voice-over, etc), in which custom adjust of volume can be made as well.

    Currently the Xbox Game DVR app does not support recording party chat.

    You will have to use external hardware and software to capture party chat and ingame sound/video, like an ElGato.
