Game download size and also download time

Am new to Xbox One. Frustrated by so many menus. Cannot locate anything without wading through all of the many menus. Needlessly complicated!

My question is this: Why are the download sizes of games not listed anywhere in the descriptions prior to purchase? They were quite clear for the 360.

Also, the time it takes to download extremely large games is outrageous! One could have the fastest connection on the planet, and yet running through Live, where the download speed appears to be throttled down, takes FOREVER! For a company that appears to
be moving toward all-digital content, this seems counterproductive. Why?

they are at the bottom of the gamw you want to buy right at the bottom

For some it may be simple. For others it is a confusing mess, especially compared to the 360. That Xbox was simple. This one is most definitely not.

Thanks. Shall try that if I ever again attempt another large download, but that is doubtful.

Hi I recommend you this:

Turn off Xbox when you download/install game. Game will be installed faster.

118 GB is a huge file That is 118 Giba Bytes. Speeds of circuits are typically measured in Mb which is Mega bits. There is a big difference in Mega Bytes and Mega bits therefore when you are talking about Giga Bytes that is even much larger than
Mega Bytes. You can expect a file of that size to take anywhere from a couple hours to several hours to download on normal internet speeds.

It's still slow, and there's numerous posts about it on here almost every day.

My personal connection is 300 mb/s and I can guarantee you that if I were to download Gears 4 it'd take me the whole day when it should take me less than an hour. (300 mb/s = 37.6 MB/s; 118 GB ~= 3222 MB
