    So I had For Honor previously on my xbox as a disc, so after deleting it, it was of course still in my library. But then I got a digital download code for the game from a friend(gift). If I have to delete the game for any reason, will it reinstall and
    let me play? Or will it reinstall but require a disc to play?

    There are no such things as stupid questions. Only stupid answers.

    You can still redownload the game. Simply go to your download history either here or on the console and go through the list to find the game and then redownload it.

    A question have you tried download that by in game market?

    I have that question because some games only permit the download by their market.

    Try that if don´t works, return to see if the people have answers of your questions.

    You have noihng to worry about! Just visit My Games and Apps > Ready to Install and it will be listed.

    When you buy a game it will show up in the ready to install tab, there you will also find games you have uninstalled if you want to clear up some space
