game download fails at 80 % and restarts

I recently bought far cry 4 for xbox 360. The Download fails every time at 80 % and then restarts. However I do not get an error message. I've already tried to delete all partial downloads, and cleared my xbox live and system cache. It still doesn't work...
Any suggestions?

you're right, i didn't think it through when i clicked the region change, that was my mistake.

however, downloading demos still works, and the game i bought still shows up, so i can click the redownload button. it's the only game i ever bought online, so i can't test it with anything else.

but there's definitely a bug in the marketplace system, just aborting the download and starting over without any message is not acceptable. just think about how much of your download volume you burn through if you leave the download unattended overnight


as there's no message whatsoever, i'd really like to hear from the OP whether he messed with the region settings, so we can rule out / confirm this as the cause.

 

Does your account region match your physical location? That's usually a sign that it's a region issue.

 

No I've changed it couple of days ago in order to change the default game language to english... I have thought that this might be the problem, but I'm not able to change it back for 3 months

 

Yeah, with region locked games your account region has to match your physical location in order to download the game. So until you can migrate your region back, you won't be able to download the game.

 

Alright, that means I'll have to try to convince Microsoft support to allow me to change my region settings again, so I won't have to wait 3 months.
