Game download error 0x80070017

i have the game pass and was downloading "the long dark" it was at about 50% and i turned off my pc by mistake.

when i turned it back on and resumed the download i got an error so i clicked "cancel installation to to get a clean reinstall.

but now whenever i try and download it again it stops at 2% and i get an error and the downlad stops. the error code is

0x80070017. i have tried everthing i could think of plus follwed a buch of guides to no avail im about to give up.

also other games still downlaod fine . and im using game pass by the way. my windows is fully up to date and so are all my drivers also i have plenty of free drive space on all my 4 drives over 200g free on each one so that isnt the issue.

EDIT: I i found the error code online but it says its for xbox one corrupt drive i dont even have an xbox one. and nither of my 4 drives are corrupt ive tried the download on all of them.

The error code refers to a file system missing or damaged it's not specifically of Xbox, some error codes are shared trough both systems as Xbox consoles uses a kind of windows also

Clear and reset Store cache in Windows

Step 1: Close Windows Store app if it’s running.

Step 2: In the Start menu search box, type WSReset (Windows Store Reset) to see Wsreset in the search results.

Step 3: Right-click on WSReset and then click Run as administrator option.

After this, Complete given below directions to reset the Xbox app and Microsoft store app

Step 1: Open the Settings app. This can be done by clicking its icon in the Start menu or simultaneously pressing Windows logo + I.

Step 2: Click the Apps category icon and then click Apps & features to see all installed apps as well as classic desktop programs.

Step 3: Click on the app that you want to reset to see the Advanced options link. Click on the same (advanced options link).

Step 4: Finally, click the small Reset button. When you click the Reset button, you will find a small dialog box with “This will permanently delete the app’s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details.” Click the Reset button in the opened dialog box to reset the app.

Step 5: Once the Reset is done, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button. And restart the Pc

im sorry but it didnt work i ran Wsreset and reset both xbox app and microsoft store in app settings
