Game doesn't receive controller input after windows update (Wireless with adapter)

Hi, Last night my xbox one controller worked perfectly while gaming but as of today (after windows 7 update) my controller can still connect to my wireless adapter but the controller input doesn't get transferred to my games. It works perfectly with with
a USB-cable. So my problem is that I want to play on windows 7 with a wireless controller and adapter but somehow this doesn't work.

Can somebody please help me. I already tried reinstalling the drivers and uninstalling windows and .NET update but nothing seems to work.

Our suggestion here, the controller contains a driver known as the (Microsoft Xbox One controller), it might be best to attempt uninstalling this driver and replace this with the
(Xbox One Controller) update driver.

Hey, thank you for your reply.

I'm currently running windows 7 on the computer the controller does't work so this fix sadly doesn't apply to me.

I hope there is a solution with the OS i'm running. I also updated the controller firmware on my brothers laptop (runs windows 10)

By "latest version of the adapter", you mean
this adapter, then this will not work with Xbox 360 controllers. This one is only designed for Xbox One controllers.

Microsoft doesn't seem to sell the 360 wireless receiver anymore, but you can
get it here from Amazon.

For the 360 wireless receiver, yes, that is all you need to hook up your 360 controller to the PC. Press the sync button on both the adapter and controller, it should connect without a problem and be instantly recognized by your Windows 7 system.
