Game discount is not applied to price

Red Dead Redemption is listed in the current sale for 50% discount, but the price is not reflecting this percentage

The original price is 17.99 USD, but the current listed price for gold is 14.99 USD which doesn't to seem to include the mentioned discount percentage

The game is listed in the xbox 360 section in the following sale page for 50% discount for gold:

I've chatted with support and they recommended to post the issue here

Prices don't necessarily follow the exact exchange rate, and in both territories there is a 50% discount applied today.

Xbox live 40% discount

My xbox live is due to expire and I noticed an offer on the dashboard for a 40% off 3 months but full price for 12months a friend of mine also got the 40% discount off his 12month membership. Why is the 12month discount not applied on my account or can this
be rectified?

The $14.99 is the 50% off price. $17.99 is the sale price (40$ off) for silver members, not the original price. So the pricing is correct.

The discount only applies if you own a digital copy of the game, not if you have only played it.

If there is a copy of the 360 version of the game on the account that you are trying to get the discount with then you should be able to get it at the cheaper price, but if you loaded up your gamertag and played somebody else's copy of the game, it won't
apply.

if one is a retail card with a code on it the same kind of retail pricing would apply. If you want the digital store pricing you have to shop in the digital store

there may be discounts for people with various levels of game pass if that's the issue
