    Game disc trade for digital version


    So thinking about it, hate having disc copies of games and having to bring them everywhere with the Xbox. So question is does a disc trade in for digital copy even exist? Would be nice to send the disc in and receive a digital download of the game. Don’t
    like the idea of having to buy the game again if the disc is lost or wont read. And at the end of the day just easier to have digital download of games and not have to worry about disc. This was probably a stupid question but owell.

    Microsoft does not have a disc-to-digital service. If you no longer wish to use the disc version you must purchase the digital version. The trade off is that you can trade in or sell your disc version to a reseller (like Game, Best Buy, or Game Stop) or
    to another person.

    I imagine there will be exclusive DLC for purchasing the digital version. It will probably be the same DLC that the Microsoft Store gets. As for including a digital version of the game with the disc version, there is no simple way to link the two so you
    could just buy the game, download the game and trade in the disc. probably not going to happen.

    Definitely not a stupid question, and you are not the only one to have asked. There are not any disc to digital services, but you can trade in old disc games for cash at a variety of stores, so there is that.

    How do i play Modern Warfare 2019 on the Series S because i need a disk for it but i dont have a disk slot? I can't get a refund either.

    You would need to purchase the digital version of the game to play it on the Series S. You could sell or trade in the disc version of the game, then use the funds to purchase the digital copy.

    No, I cannot trade or resell digital, at least with discs I can trade or sell the ones I don't keep, and digital versions don't do the likes of legendary editions (the ones I keep) , the only digital versions I get are the arcade type games, Spartan Assault
    etc.
