Game clips freeze / hitch on xbox series X

My series X does not capture clips properly. The captures freeze for about 1 second a few random times during each 30 second clip. The clips do record, but when playing back the hitching and freezing there in the clip.

I tried turning off VRR, and lowering capture resolution, full reset of console, etc. It happens in every single clip since I got my series x last year.

I play on a 1440p 144Hz gaming monitor and record to the internal SSD. The drive is not full or even close.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting why this is happening? Really don't want to buy another SSD just to see if it fixes it.

Have you tried to record them directly to your internal SSD? Just to test if the same thing happens.

I have a series x and only on call of duty this is happening but its not just the game freezing or crashing its making my xbox freeze and bug out

It is very low while playing and a normal player cannot detect it, but it becomes very intense while saving the clip.

It should be noted that the clips are saved without sound unless I have already opened a non-optimized game and then open the optimized Xbox series s/x games.
