Game clip is blank (grey screen) but sound still plays?

The clips play as if nothing's wrong, but the screen is blank just as the thumbnails are

I have this SAME issue.. It started right after I updated my Xbox1. Does anyone have a fix?

My Xbox one suddenly showed nothing but a blank grey screen, and no functions were available except the console off and controller off options. I turned the system off and back on (leaving it off for several minutes between) several times with the same result.
I then disconnected the power supply from the wall and power cable, and the power cable from the system, then reconnected it. Now the system light will turn on but nothing will happen on the screen.

Can you give us a little more information about the issue you are experiencing? Some of your clips play but the greyed out ones do not? Have they worked in the past? Is this the same device the clips were recorded from? Please give us a little more details
to determine the best way to assist you.

All of the clips play - the greyed out ones play the sound of the clip but not the video, it's just a grey screen with "For Honor" at the top left.



Same device used to record the rest of the clips seen in the first photo. This has never happened to any clip before.

By any chance have you tried viewing your clips on the console? If so, is the same issue persisting when playing the clips?

 

I don’t have an xbox console, and it’s the same when viewing on the windows Xbox app

After looking over the images posted, I noticed there is a watermark that says "Activate Windows Go to Settings to activate Windows".

Does that appear on the screen for every video or action on the PC or only when playing the grey videos?

Hi, that's there because my system won't activate Windows for some unforeseen reason - but still, it has no bearing on playing any games whatsoever.
