Discus and support Game chat is hit or miss. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; NAT is open. Sometimes I can hear the guys in mp, but most of the time I can't.     Game chat is hit or miss.


    NAT is open. Sometimes I can hear the guys in mp, but most of the time I can't. I can always hear the games sounds though. I use an Earforce XO ONE headset. Is this a headset problem or a Xbox problem??

    Game chat is hit or miss.

    Depending on who responds, you will get different answers. I'm fairly certain it's an unaddressed Xbox problem. I had the same problem with the stock headset that came with the One and still have the same issue with a set of Turtle Beach Earforce Sentinel's
    that are made especially for the One. I'm open NAT, hard wired, blah blah blah-but yet the first five minutes after turning on the One is spent making sure first that my mic is working. If I can't see that I am talking, then it's back out of Live all the
    way in the COD game, connect back to Live AGAIN. Check mic again. If I can see I'm talking, then I'm usually good to go. Sometimes it still doesn't work and I have to unplug the mic and plug it back in. Then again sometimes I do that and when I plug back
    in, I can't hear anything at all. So then I have to reset the whole freaking console. If unplugging and plugging the mic back in to the controller doesn't work-then I have to unplug the entire console and reset which is super annoying, and we shouldn't have
    to do that because a product doesn't work the way it's supposed to.

    Don't even get me started on the controller batteries dying mid game. I'm not going to be hearing anything at all after I change the batteries until I once again, do a reset of the whole console. Uggggggggh.

    I have the same experience as Jen and have yet to find a consistent fix or work around. It just doesn't work.

    Totally old topic, but wouldn't you know-same problem with the new game! Never had issues with Destiny, so it's gotta be an issue on the Call of Duty end. I just wish they would acknowledge it.

    I have had the same issue while playing Titanfall. Things are great while in a party chat, but its hit or miss if chat will work within the game. Again, I don't think its the headsets or the controllers as I've swapped them both out at different times
    to see if it was hardware. I'll be chatting with someone in-game and then I'll hear a muffled pop, and then nothing. Strange and annoying.
