Game chat doesn't work on Xbox one

Is the issue just when you just have headphones on all for normal speakers as well?

In the settings menu under Display & sound - Volume. Check what party chat output is set to.

Also in audio output double check the settings there.

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
or game chat.

Can you listen to game chat but can't talk or can't even talk and listen? I believe you have done everything I could recommend but try the next one.

Disconnect your console from your current connection, clear your console's MAC in advanced network settings, restart the console.

After that share, your phone's connection as a hotspot, connect your console to that network, and test the games again.
