Game Breaking bug File IO failure: Error code 487

Hello, I am on Act 2, Part 3 the Bradbury Swimming Pool and I have encountered a game breaking bug. From the main menu, I select Continue, then the loading screen starts. During the loading screen, I get an error that says "File IO Failure" then it continues
saying "File IO Failure: readfilefailed, error code 487, filename unknown".

I am unable to continue passed this error. It give me an option to "Retry" or "Exit" and neither button does anything. I tried going through the "Timeline" menu and restarting the save at the Bradbury swimming pool and the same thing happens except the error
occurs when the game is going through the "previously on Quantum Break" section. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Quantum break IO failure ?

I purchased Quantum Break game on Xbox one for my son and we get this message --

File IO failure: readfilefailed, error code 487, filename unknown.

I hope there is something that can be done, at 74,99$, I'm not impressed at all !

cant find this error code on xbox.com

I was playing Quantum Break and an xbox error popped up saying IO: file read error filedoesnotexist code 1117 and asked me to retry or exit

 

Same issue ehre reinstalling the Game fixer the issue temporarely but after switching to a previous act i have tue same issue

 

I'm having an issue almost exactly the same. Every time I get to Act 2, the cutscene that plays usually freezes my game and if I skip the cutscene then there's this loading screen that never ends. This is utter ***

 

i have the same problem. is it hardware issues?

 

I got the game last week and just encountered this. Cant get past it at all. Has anyone had any luck with a re-install?

 

I would wait for the patch that's supposed to be released soon. It will address a number of bugs.

 

Same issue ,on the Act2,part 1. It make me to buy a ps4!

 

Reinstall the game, & updated, the error come exactly before the "Press A to continue"

 

Still happening to me and I just got the game last week. Fresh install with latest updates.

 

I am on XBOX ONE.

Bought the game at launch, Paid full retail. "IO FILE..." issue at very start of game. Tried reinstall, gave up. It's been about a year. I moved, found this game buried in my TV stand.

Installed it, updates...fresh start...

Same ****! Game is UNPLAYABLE.

PLEASE HELP!

 

is there any fix? Seems to be a common issue across PC and XBOX ONE. But obviously not everyone has this issue... MICROSOFT PLEASE HELP!!!

I will not buy another $69.99 game for my box. Specially not a Microsoft exclusive until I get an answer.
