    Game Bar not recording in game chat


    I have an issue where game bar records everything except in game chat on my PC.

    I can hear myself, the game audio, people talking in my discord, but what I can't hear in the recordings are the people not in my group using the in game chat system. I was working before and not it is not working at all. Any ideas to fixing this would be great. I have tried to look up solutions online but everything is about the game bar not recording their voice.

    How to record Game Bar overlay while recording with Game Bar itself?

    We understand that you are having trouble recording Game Bar overlay while recording with Game Bar itself. I'll be happy to assist you with this.



    To record Game Bar overlay while recording with Game Bar itself, you need to enable the "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar" option in the Game Bar settings. Here are the steps to do so:



    1. Press the Windows key + G to open the Game Bar.

    2. Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) on the Game Bar.

    3. In the Game Bar settings, make sure that the "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar" option is turned on.

    4. Also, make sure that the "Record audio when I record a game" option is turned on if you want to record audio along with your gameplay.

    5. Once you have enabled these settings, you can start recording your gameplay by pressing the Windows key + Alt + R.



    Please note that not all games support Game Bar overlay recording. If you are having trouble recording Game Bar overlay while recording with Game Bar itself, it could be due to the game not supporting this feature. You can check the game's display settings to see if there are any options related to Game Bar overlay recording.

    I can't use Win+G to open the xbox game bar while gaming.

    I successfully re-downloaded the game service, but when I try win+G, it still doesn't work, Settings-Game-Xbox Game Bar to Enable Xbox Game Bar for things like recording game clips, chatting with friends, and The The receiving game invitations switch still closes automatically, please provide me with a new solution!

    If that doesn't help then Reset Game Bar in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Xbox Game bar > Advanced Options.

    If that doesn't help then re-register Xbox Game bar from Option 2 here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3175-apps-re-register-windows-8-10-a.html

    And if that doesn't help then uninstall Game Bar in App Settings above, restart PC, reinstall Game Bar from Microsoft Store Settings > My Library.
