    Game bar muted my games....


    Hi im sure this is a noob question but ive recently got into PC gaming and last night i joined the xbox party invite with a friend. But swapped to console when i returned today it seems like the chat chennel os still open and all my games are muted. How
    do i close the party chat ? So i can hear my games and prevent this happen in the future.

    Try this: Go to Windows settings >> Apps >> Game Bar >> Advanced >> Repair & Reset.

    If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you run a scan to check for problems and repair them.

    Press Windows + R, type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run Command Prompt as administrator. Next type sfc /scannow in Command Prompt window, and press Enter to start to scan and repair corrupt system files in Windows 10.

    Xbox party chat on PC mutes my mic everytime I minimize the game bar

    Has there been a solution to this issue? Just running into it myself for the first time. Trying to game with my brother, when I enter the game window party chat mutes my mic. I hit windows + g, game bar is open, he can hear me. Frustrating.

    You can always remove sound by going to your Desktop, clicking on the little speaker icon right by the date and and clicking on the mute speakers button below the slider bar.

    You can also use the charm bar on the right-hand side while in the game to adjust the settings. =)

    i disable game bar but then it doesnt show notifications for voice chat invites. also i cant mute the party chat if i need to because there is no option to do that in the app. any thing im missing?

    That means your headset is muted. Try un-muting by pressing the home button on your Xbox controller, and selecting it in the hot bar that comes up on the left hand side.
