Game add-on, specifically Destiny: The Taken King will not install

I recently purchased The Destiny collection everything installs fine (base game & Rise of Iron) but TTK gives me an error everytime I try to install it.

I've tried all the common troubleshooting methods such as re-installing everything, clearing the cache, deleting local saves, and removing my profile but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone had similar issues and is able to give advice?

I Paid for Content and Now it is Gone

So just a few days ago I bought Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition for $30.00 USD in the Xbox Live Store because it was on sale for Gold Members. That bundle includes Destiny, Destiny: The Taken King, and Destiny: The Taken King -
Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade. I was able to download everything. However in game my Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade content did not show up. So I quit and closed the game completely and went into manage game and uninstalled
it. I then reinstalled the Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade content and restarted my game. It did not appear again so I quit and completely closed the game. But when I uninstalled it and to try again my Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition
Upgrade did not appear in the add-on to download section like it normally does. So can someone help me figure out what went wrong? I paid for this add I want my content back. I am writing on the Destiny forums about the content not appearing but can someone
tell me why I cannot see or re-download the Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade content. Thank you!

 

Purchasing Destiny: The Taken King for Xbox 360? Check here!

Hey everyone!

We are definitely excited about the recent release of Destiny: The Taken King and we wanted to make sure that you have all the proper information regarding purchasing The Taken King. We have listed a few different scenarios you may encounter while trying to
purchase Destiny: The Taken King and have included the best process make sure that your purchase runs smoothly.

Scenario 1- I currently do not own Destiny and I want to purchase Destiny: The Taken king:

• From the Xbox 360 console, navigate to Games and search for Destiny.
• Select Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition and then select Purchase.
  
• Once you have selected Purchase, select Confirm Purchase.
• Most content will automatically install after you confirm the purchase.
• After you have purchased Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition navigate to Games from the Dashboard.
  
• Select Games and then select My Games.
• Launch Destiny and a few updates will install.
• Once the updates have successfully completed, you should be ready to go!

Scenario 2- Destiny The Taken King was purchased on a different profile on my Xbox 360 and I want to play the game:

• If a friend or family member has purchased Destiny: The Taken King on your console, but it was purchased on a different profile, you may run into an error code while trying to launch the Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition bundle
  app.
• If you do run into an error code while launching the bundle app, navigate to My Games on your Xbox 360 console.
  
• From My Games select Destiny and launch the game. At this point, a couple of updates should install.
  
• Once the updates have completed, you should now be able to play the game. Keep in mind, you may be unable to access certain DLC content from the bundle app until you have progressed to a certain storyline in the game.
  

Scenario 3- I already own Destiny, Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below and Destiny Expansion 2: House of Wolves and I want to purchase Destiny: The Taken King:

• If you're an existing Destiny owner that has already purchased Destiny Expansion 2: House of Wolves and Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below, you are eligible to purchase the standalone "Taken King" add on. You can purchase the standalone Taken King add-on
  in-game by launching Destiny on you Xbox 360 console.
• Press the A button to Play and then select your character.
• Select Set Destination and hover over The Taken King logo to the right of the Tower/Earth.
  
• Press A for more information.
• Click Purchase under the Destiny: The Taken King option and then confirm the purchase.

Try uninstalling the game once more, but power cycle the console before you reinstall it.

Do this by holding down the power button for 5 seconds or until it turns off.

It should automatically restart.

 

I tried this, but this console did not restart, it just turned off. Alternatively I power cycled the console manually by unplugging it from the wall as well, but that didn't work either.

The problem seems to be with only Destiny TKK, as I downloaded other add-ons without trouble before and after I tried installing this one. I should also mention this is a digital download and not from a disk.

When I try to download the add-on from the Store, it gives me the error code '0x87F00005'.
