Galaga downloads but does not play

Galaga has been made available for backward compatibility today. My Xbox One makes it available for download in the "My games & apps" app, but after downloading, it requests the original disc to play.

There seems to be a problem with the digital license. The store knows I own the digital copy of the game as it provides the download link, the Xbox web site also shows I own the game, but after installing the installed license isn't valid and the game cannot
start.

Also, the game tile image contains the "add-on" icon (on the Xbox 360 vertical banner, a controller with a plus sign), which should not be in images for games, only in the images for add-ons. This is just a cosmetic bug, but it is one we'll see every time we
browse our games collection, should be fixed as well, consistency is part of perceived quality.

Bought wrong game

This morning I've been purchasing games. Wanted the Galaga for 360. Didn't realize there was 2 and got the Arcade version. Before it had the chance to download I cancelled the download. Is there any way Microsoft can give me the correct one and take the
other Galaga away before it's downloaded? I loved the Galaga Legions But this one is the is the wrong one!!! Galaga Legions DX is the right one!!! Big changes to Xbox overnight like Avatars and options... Thought it was a new look... Or am I screwed?

 

cant get 2 players on arcade games please help

Only get 1 player option on NAMCO arcade /virtual arcade, the one w galaga pac man etc, Does any one know? ty

i have the same problem. I've bought it today digitally and have downloaded it on xbox one but the xbox asks for a disc or to log in with the account that owns the game but i'm logged in properly.

Just FYI, it's not related to the fact that you bought the game just before installing it.

I purchased the game within days of release, as it's been released on July 26 2006, and I cannot find my origine purchase date, but my first achievements are from July 29 2006, only 3 days after release.

Unfortunately this won't help you much, but we might at least save time avoiding the "wait a few days after purchase to see if things settles down" answer.

 

Just got a "Galaga is ready to play" notification on the Xbox One and not Galaga plays fine, seems like there has been a very quick update to fix the issue.

There was an outage with backward compatibility - everything should be working sweetly again now.

I love this game - but still play it bad

I can't wait for The Division open beta this weekend ...
