Fuzzy Party and UI Audio Glitch

ItsKarateMaster · Jun 24, 2024

I’ve had my Xbox Series X for about 3 years now and in mid 2023 until now, me and many others I know have had a glitch where the Audio for the UI, Parties, and media Apps such as YouTube or Disney+ ETC, has really distorted and glitchy/choppy audio. It seems to randomly happen and it happens every single time I use my Xbox for atleast 30 minutes to an hour. It also can happen before that in some cases. A solution to this is to restart your console which is a temporary fix and works all of the time. Another solution is turning your controller off and then back on which fixes the solution maybe 60% of the time. Both of these fix it for a little while and it always goes back to doing the same thing.

Is there a way to permanently fix this? Often times it makes play sessions with friends very hard as you’re either having to deal with glitchy party audio or having to restart the console then join the party again altogether.

This could mean a number of things. I would recommend checking your audio settings when you enter a party.

To do this, please remember with the latest UI update to xbox, the audio settings will be located under your profile tab. There you'll have the option to view and manage your current audio settings.

Another solution may possibly be the audio jack on your controller if you're using a headset/headphones.

You could also try messing with the in game audio options.

Hopefully this helps!

That's the right word for it! Xbox 1's UI looks kind , too grown up, too Windows 8. Even 5-10 year olds can easily understand the 360 UI and start participate and manage parties. It's familiar. When X1 first came out I thought I was reading a UI that was
meant for someone in their 30s or 40s those kind of peps. I don't hate it, and things have improved. I just find the 360 familiar. No matter if you have ADSL Broadband or Fibre, which ever country you're from that has XBL, no matter if you have strict or open
nat. 360 wins when it comes to the interface, but Xbox 1 wins since it has better cyrstal clear like, audio codec. Usually on 360 an only way to get crystal clear like audio communications is the XBL Party feature or Private Chat.

I get glitches all over the screen on every part of the UI.

Any updates to this? I have the exact same issue. Console auto updated over the weekend (I didn’t ask for a new UI - the old UI was fine) and now I have no audio through speakers - only headset.

I tried factory reset, power cycling, audio setup, etc and nothing fixed it.

A friend with an XB1X with no issues also reports the weird UI glitch I mentioned in an earlier happens on his.
