fs-base-propdefs

Hi,

I have worked a few days to trying to decompile the *.spb file in SF2020 as well.

What I found out is that the spb2xml decompiler needs to reference to some FlightSimulator XML library files (with decompile definitions) stored for SFX in the (Path to FSX)\propdefs\ directories.

However it seems that XML library for SF2020 is different to to the one in SFX. When I tried to decompile a SF2020 *.spb I got some guid errors.

Digging further I found that XML library in SF2020 in a folder named "sf-base-propdef". I assumed, that if I would reference the spb2xml decompiler to that folder in SF2020 I could decompile my *.spb file to xml.

However that "sf-base-propdef" sits in a linked (junction) folder that I do believe points to a container. The permission on that folder allows me to see all the xml file names in the "sf-base-propdef" folder but I did not have the permission to open (to
see the xml content) or copy those anywhere else.

If anyone knows how to review those "sf-base-propdef" xml files, that would be extremely helpful.

I'm having the issue of not being able to install certain content because the fs.base.propdefs or 1.0 and need to be 1.2.0 or something. Does anyone know how to update the propdefs?

but now am totally stuck on on Decompressing pc-fs-base-bigfiles-0.1.59.fspackage and it just closes the game and nothing else .

Right on Bird125 ,based onwhat specs are rumoured in Nexbox it should be able to handle a pc MSflight yolk. Then MS could exclusive their Flight sims and Combat FS 1-2-3 from the past

I am have the same problem with the large update 1.8.3.0 stuck overe and over loading pc-fs-base-bigfiles-0.1.63.fspatch. The file has gotten as high as 91% complete at just over a gig and restarted. It is so frustrating.
