FS 2020 windows, keyboard controls do not work

Hope someone can help me.

Successfully configured my CH Flight Sim Yoke to work Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 and did some flying around and landing around my hometown no problems. The configuration setup was saved. I then closed the game down.

Now when I start up Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 it no longer detects the CH Flight Sim Yoke. I have also tried plugging in the CH Fighterstick (which was previously detected) and it is now undetected as well.

The USB ports work fine outside Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 as tested by adding a second keyboard. (update: under Windows 10 device manager I also checked to can see if Windows 10 detects the insertion and removal of the CH controllers - I confirmed OK that
Windows 10 had no problems detecting the addition and removal of the controllers.

It seems to be a detection problem by Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 (despite the fact Windows 10 can detect the controllers)

Welcome any advise why Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 has 'forgotten' its plug in controls.

This afternoon I was playing FS 2020 with an Xbox controller because Flight gear is not available anywhere, except at Ama..n for 400-500% price markups. Today I received a Thrustmaster Rudder pedal I bought at the Microsoft Store and FS 2020 detect it without
problems. After setting up the axis, I played for awhile and got off. When I got back on a few minutes later my Xbox controller was gone from FS2020. The Rudder Pedals were still showing and working, but no signs of the controller. Unplugging, rebooting
the PC (Windows 10 Pro latest) did not do any good. I tried the controller with Steam games and it works as usual, so there is something going on with FS 2020 recognizing USB devices for sure....

In FS 2020 I can configure the Force Feedback 2 Jouystick according to the YouTube guide (link from StefanMostert).
But I can´t set the sensitivity in FS 2020.
After cklicking the button Sensitivity I got only "Ready", no settings available.

In consequence the FF2 performs very poor in FS 2020.
However the calibration performs well in Windows 10.
In Windows 10 I opened the Control Panel, then I accessed "View devices and printers". In the window that popped open, "SideWinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick" appeared. To access the calibration functions right-click the icon & select "Game controller settings".
In the sub-window that opens, select "Advanced".

I have a Sidewinder Precision Pro and it is recognized by both my old system and FS 2020. When you go to the Controller Screen in FS 2020 does it show up? If it does, it won't have any mappings. You have to configure it yourself. Not surprising for an old
stick.

If it doesn't show up go to the Control Panel or Settings app and see if it is there. If isn't, then you have another problem. It might be in a USB 3.0 port instead of a 2.0 one. It should work but try moving it to a different USB port anyway. If Windows
recognizes it in any USB, right click on the device and test/calibrate it. If every thing is okay, go to FS 2020 and it should show up in your Controls. Just select it and start mapping each control.

This an observation on a PC based version of FS 2020. My Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS stick and throttle and T-Rudder pedals are supported and work fine. The Saitek Multi Panel, Switch Panel, Radio Panel, Throttle Quadrant, and FIP's do not work in FS2020.
I did get the Prop and Mixture to work correctly on the attached Throttle of the Yoke, but the additional Throttle Quadrant is a no go. All of these pieces are working perfectly in FSX on this same machine, so it is FS 2020 that is the problem. I dug out an
old USB 2040 digital switch. FS 2020 saw that just fine. I hooked up my old "Park Brake" Switch and mapped it in the controls set. It works fine. If they can see old technology like that piece, I wonder how hard it would be to write drivers for the above mentioned
pieces. The 64 bit Windows 10 Saitek drivers work perfectly in FSX on the same machine.

if it were only that easy for some reason it just doesn't like the sidewinder any other ideas there tech bob
