    FS 2020 hangs up at WELCOME, SET YOUR EXPERIENCE screen.


    Dear,

    I have a problem with the installation of FS2020 premium deluxe disc version, onto my new computer.

    Post installing the application, i start the Flight sim. Then at a given moment, there's a popup which say's : WELCOME, SET YOUR EXPERIENCE...... ERROR, access to the content servers is currently unavailable. Please ensure you have an active internet connection,
    and try again later. Please visit https:............ for additional information.

    I confirm that my new desktop PC is connected thru a ETHERNET cable and i have a stable active connection with the internet.

    Furthermore, i have BITDEFENDER as firewall and defender. This disables the windows defender.

    No matter what i try, i cannot get passed this ERROR screen, and remain in a loop.

    When clicking on the only available button QUIT, i get another error RED message text saying : WARNING YOU HAVE BEEN SIGNED OUT FROM X-BOX LIVE

    How can i get this solved?

    I'm seriously waiting (since August) to start enjoying my flight sim and even with a brand new PC, especially bought for this application, i still cannot start to fly.

    It's heavily frustrating !!!

    I have a Sidewinder Precision Pro and it is recognized by both my old system and FS 2020. When you go to the Controller Screen in FS 2020 does it show up? If it does, it won't have any mappings. You have to configure it yourself. Not surprising for an old
    stick.

    If it doesn't show up go to the Control Panel or Settings app and see if it is there. If isn't, then you have another problem. It might be in a USB 3.0 port instead of a 2.0 one. It should work but try moving it to a different USB port anyway. If Windows
    recognizes it in any USB, right click on the device and test/calibrate it. If every thing is okay, go to FS 2020 and it should show up in your Controls. Just select it and start mapping each control.

    Microsoft Force Feedback 2

    In FS 2020 I can configure the Force Feedback 2 Jouystick according to the YouTube guide (link from StefanMostert).
    But I can´t set the sensitivity in FS 2020.
    After cklicking the button Sensitivity I got only "Ready", no settings available.

    In consequence the FF2 performs very poor in FS 2020.
    However the calibration performs well in Windows 10.
    In Windows 10 I opened the Control Panel, then I accessed "View devices and printers". In the window that popped open, "SideWinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick" appeared. To access the calibration functions right-click the icon & select "Game controller settings".
    In the sub-window that opens, select "Advanced".
