    Frustrating console / controller problems


    So I have had this issue for several years now and no one has ever resolved it I've tried here before but never got any reply let's see if it's different this time.

    So for the past 5 days when I turn my Xbox one X on it turns my TV and sound on as normal however there is a blacky greyish scream displayed the same as just a background but no icons on screen. I then my Xbox elite series 2 controller on, it connects just fine. I wiggle the joystick around can't hear anything I press the Xbox button on the controller I can hear the Xbox sound of the side menu open and closing after hitting the Xbox button a few more times the screen springs to life displaying everything, success, right? Wrong. The controller does not work properly the only button that works is the Xbox button to open and close the side menu and on/off menu. This had been a problem for years periodically happening and I have found temporary fixes to this issue but I need a permanent fix.

    So I'm on the pre-alpha skip ahead programme. This issue has persisted for nearly 4 years now on and off. The into really extended fix is to reset the console but it comes back other than that I have to power cycle the console also removing the power supply after this it works till the next time I turn my console on.

    I'd appreciate any help on this what's so ever.

    I am having the exact same problem! Me and my brother have a console each, and after he borrowed my controller to use it, it now will not connect back to my own Xbox. Very frustrating!

    Frustrating problems!

    Try a power cycle again. Sometimes it takes a couple of times for it to take affect. Hold the power button on the front of your console for 8-10 sec until it powers off then unplug the console from the wall outlet for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Plug your console
    back in after waiting and power back on and try live tv again. Hopefully it will be fixed this time.
