Frustrated with Purchases unable to be accessed by my son.

Does anyone know if there is something jacked with my access levels?

I have Minecraft on PC (Windows 10 Version) and on Xbox One + a Xbox live on my main account that goes between the too. I purchased several Texture packs with my Gametag and I have no issues accessing my purchased content on my own profile on either the
PC or Xbone versions. The Xbox One console is also set as my primary console in the personalization settings.

The problem is even though the content is downloaded to the hard drive on the console my son is unable to use any of my texture packs or purchased skins if he signs in by himself. He has to sign is as my gamertag to use any of the content on the Xbone. I
have all the content downloaded but it is only selectable if your signed in as me.

Is this by design? I thought the whole purpose of Having a primary console associated with your account is that other users on the console can access the content. If he tries to use a texture pack I purchased on the Xbox it wants him to buy it!!

How does this get fixed? Is this normal?

Gold Subscription

I purchased XBox Gold on my avatar for my son. Is he unable to access Gold from his avatar?

 

Cannot "purchase" free with Gold Grid 2!!

I, too, am unable to "Purchase" Gold Grid 2, even though it is stating it is free.

Very frustrating for my son & husband (and I)!

 

Sorry to hear it. Although digital content can be shared using the Home setting not all DLC is available to all gamertags on a console. This would be by design from the developer.

A good way to test this would be to have your son sign in to his gamertag to play Minecraft while your gamertag is signed in. If he can access the DLC on his account then it's an issue with the console that we can try to fix. If it isn't shareable still
then it's by design and you would need to contact Mojang for more info.

 

You can game share but unfortunately in game content can't be shared.
