    I am very upset about this. I entered in an xbox live gold 2 day free trial code that i recieved with the gears of war and rare replay xbox bundle. The code was accepted and shows that i own live gold in the store and in my memberships tab. I can even instal
    free games with live. Unfortunately however, when i got to play a game that requires live its asking me to purchase it again. I check in my account subscriptions and it doesnt say i have it. Ive chatted with live customer support twice and tried power cycle
    and deleted my account from my xbox and reinstalled it. Same thing. Its been about 20 hours and same thing. Im not happy with this as i have very few times when i can actually go online and play xbox so i wanted to use this code to play with friends. What
    can you guys do about this. And i dont want to get the one month yet as i will be off the xbox online for a while

    Yes, you certainly can. The bottom of a 2 Day Gold Pass states the following:

    XBOX LIVE 2-Day gold Membership, free trial allows access to these Gold features: online multiplayer gaming, Netflix, ESPN on XBOX Live, Facebook, free game demos, exclusive discounts, promotions and video content.

    Free 2-day trial offer is only for use on the XBOX 360 and is not valid for current XBOX Live Gold Members. At the end of your 2-day trial period, your membership will default to the FREE XBOX Live Membership, unless you elect to extend your XBOX Live Gold
    Membership.

    Now what this doesn't tell you is that you cannot play in ranked matches with the trial membership, but you are free to play in social matchmaking playlists for games.

    Trial codes do not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. Some codes will only work for the games they came with and they don't work with all games or game modes. The game you're trying to play
    may not support them. There's not really any way around that.

    Trial codes do not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. Some codes will only work for the games they came with and they don't work with all games or game modes. The game you're trying to play
    may not support them. There's not really any way around that.
