    My xbox account was created with my mothers email about 7 years ago. I've read numerous articles and read many posts, and even after contacting xbox I still have been unable to find a answer. Can I move my xbox account to my outlook without damaging my mom's account in any way. And if so how?

    that will not work, that just adds an alias to his mothers account and if he makes that primary then that changes his mothers email address and really goofs things up especially anything she is registered to, also any emails will still go to her inbox, unfortunately nothing can be transferred to a new email account, the microsoft account IS the xbox account IS the email account.

    the only option you have is create a new account and start from scratch and have your mothers account set as home so you can play all the purchased games.

    Yeah it cant be gaurenteed when that old tag would become available after you changed it. You would be doing this at your own risk.
