    Friends won't appear online


    I'm on Xbox s, I play with my bro all the time with him inviting me in. Recently all of my friends even him no longer show up online even when I'm in a game with them, says last online 29 days ago, my privacy options are fully open to friends and I appear online, is there a way to fix this?

    Hello! Depending on your friends settings, this could be something that is on their side. Example of this could be them setting themselves to appear offline when they're online. Another example would be that they won't appear online to anyone unless they
    explicitly have them added.

    No the Xbox One is not backwards compatible so you won't be able to play 360 games on it.

    As far as being online, if your online on Xbox One and have friends/family online on the 360, I believe you will be able to see them appearing on your Friends List, you will be able to send/receive messages from each other but you won't be able to go into Xbox
    LIVE Party Chat or play games together.

    i am in the same boat. i finally updated this morning but Dashboard content won't appear, it says 7 friends online but i can't see who, netflix just sits there with the loading circle, marketplace won't load. Big headache.

    In the meantime you can try appearing offline to avoid further contact with this individual. This can be changed in the "network settings" tab and it won't effect your online connection but it will appear to be "offline".

    It is important to note that people on your friends list will also view your as being "offline" as well.
