Friends on Xbox One will not receive game invites from Xbox App on Windows 10

Okay, so I noticed I was missing a package that PowerShell requires for app reinstall. (It popped up as missing when it ran). Looking online the only way I saw to get the package back was to get a clean windows install. I did this through the "Windows Defender
Security Center". I am now able to host a game and my wife join it from Xbox, but only if selected through the in-game server browser. Game invites still do not send.

I did power cycle the Xbox (PC should have occurred during windows reinstall) and nothing changed. She can still join my game when selected through the server browser, but does not receive the game invites. It looks like my Xbox app may have been corrupted
and it could never reset correctly as I was missing the install package in my System32 files. Software like that is not my forte however so I may be mistaken.

I am going to check again after I get home from work tomorrow and make sure she can still join before I say this is solved. It randomly stopped working before. If anyone has suggestions on how to get the invite system working in the mean time that would
be good.

It is not the insider edition of Minecraft to the best of my knowledge. The day before yesterday my friend (on xbox) was able to join my game. Yesterday when I got home from work I was not able to connect to the game from Xbox. I had my friend try again
and he failed to connect (and did not get game invites)

another possible answer may be if the insider edition of Minecraft is being used... it has an update that is not accessible to people outside the program.

Maybe resetting the app and clearing the cache from the Microsoft Store will help with the game invite notifications.

Step 1: Clear the Windows Store cache.

1. On the Cortana search box, enter "cmd"
   
2. Right-click on Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator.
   
3. Type wsreset.exe, and hit Enter key.
   

Step 2: Reset the Xbox app from Settings.

1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
   
2. Select Apps.
   
3. Under Apps and features, locate the Xbox app.
   
4. Click the Xbox app, then click Advanced options.
   
5. Click Reset.
   
6. Restart your computer.
