Friend has updated version, cannot play on our Realm

My buddy signed up for Microsoft Insider Program, and it installed a Beta version of Minecraft. My other friends do not, and we have a Realm on version 1.2.3

my buddy just wants to play on our Realm again, but he can't figure out how to downgrade his minecraft to 1.2.3

Is there a way to boot him from the Insider Program and revert his minecraft on Xbox?

Cross plat options

hey guys i want to cross play with a friend who has Minecraft on Xbox one and I have Minecraft on the ipad and windows 10. Do I need realms in order to play with him or can I play without it? Also I am considering to buy the switch version if I don't need
realms.

Better Together, purchases and family accounts

My son and I have just started to play Minecraft again, and have noticed that I am able to access everything but he is not. He cant access all our old Skins.

This may be connected but I started the Realms free trial so my lad and his mates can play, however he cannot add friends to the realm even though I gave him Operator rights.

Hey there,

Your friend will need to un enroll from the Minecraft Beta, then uninstall and reinstall the game. Just like entering the beta though, it can take a day or two before the Xbox Store knows to download the older version as opposed to the beta. They don't need
to leave the Insider program in order to stop using the beta, they just need to opt back out from the Insider Hub on the console.

You need to make sure that they are on the same update version of Bedrock edition. Currently it is version 1.12.01. Anything higher will be the beta version which is not able to be played on realms.

If they are on the same version then the friend will have to invite them to the realm or give them the realm invite code.

You will also need an active gold subscription to be able to play on realms.

I am having same issue, my friend has xbox one 1.16 nether update version and i have the nintendo switch 1.14.3 version and it will not let me into realm. The realm acct/world was created on my friend’s xbox one. Is there any solution to this problem?

As the others have said previously, your friend on Xbox is in the Minecraft Beta. The only way you would be able to join their realm is if they left the beta and downgraded to the "current" version. Good Luck!
