    Hi there!

    So title basically says it all unfortunately ("Friend and I can't remember his old password to his Microsoft/Xbox account and we no longer have access to the old email, but also can't remember enough apparently to verify that it is actually us"). It's a
    very sad experience and we want nothing more than to be able to get the account back. We set it up when we were kids and must have lied/been funny when we made the account and we've tried so many combinations of both the verification form and just trying to
    sign in with different passwords and both have blocked us as of now. Is there any possible hope to get it back now? Or are we officially [Mod Removed- inappropriate] and we've now lost tons of our childhood memories forever due to child stupidity?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for reaching out to use about this problem you have run into.

    I could understand how this could be frustrating especially if that account had a bunch of games on it.

    If you guys are having problems recovering the account, the only means we have to help one regain access to their account can be found in our

    Lost Password Solution     online. Because Microsoft/Xbox care about the privacy of your information, if you're unable to recover said account after trying those steps, you guys would have to start over with a new account.

    Give the steps there a shot when you get a chance, and let us know how that helped.

    To be honest it was set up years ago, and I can't remember half of the stuff. But they would still have needed to get the password, we says he hasn't given out his account details to anybody. He only plays online with his friends.

    Hi,

    You can't remove an account remotely, but, if you change your account password, your former friend will no longer be able to access your account on their console.

    Once the password is changed, make your console your Home Xbox.

    even if the email account no longer exists, the email address should still work as the sign in for his Microsoft/Xbox account (as long as he can remember his password for Microsoft/Xbox)

    if he doesn't remember the password then he can recover/change his password by following the guide in this link

    then once he has done that he can change the email address associated with his account as well as setting up 2 step verification
