Friend and I can't play at the same time.

Despite the fact that we both purchased the game separately, on our own accounts, whenever one of us launches the game, it kicks the other person off with this message

Can't play the same game at the same time in the same house

I just recently moved in with a buddy of mine. We both have our own Xbox One console. We can both play the same game, like Halo 5, at the same time. But once we try to play in the same lobby, it disconnects one or both of us. I've seen many comments online
about using UPnP to connect both at the same time, but he has an AT&T U-Verse router, which doesn't support that. Does anyone know of a way that we can both play the same game at the same time?

 

Can't update/download and play (different games) at the same time

Last week, when AC3 came out for GwG, I started my X1 and proceeded to download it, while starting whatever game while the download started...

Except it didn't start and the game didn't load.

I canceled the download (at extreme cost, as while it showed the option and I could select it, it did nothing), but having started an update for another game, also discovered the same was happening while that update was being downloaded.

As an example, I've now started an update and when it was maybe halfway I booted a game - game doesn't load (error 0x8027025a) AND now the update doesn't download at all, no matter what I do.

At this point I've done hard reset(s) and deleted all downloaded content since last week (to circumvent a possible software problem) however I'm still getting this.

My X1 is just 5 months old and I just jeep remebering the pain and suffering from the old days with 3 X360's and their RRoD...
