Friend and I aren't play games on shared account

My friend and I recently shared/linked our XBL accounts so we could share/play games on each others accounts. However, it seems that in order for either of us to play games we downloaded from each others console/account, we need to be signed into the other
persons account.

Ex. I just recently signed into my friends account on my machine and downloaded the new Witcher Thronebreaker game, but in order to play it I need to stay signed into his account, either actually using his account, or switched to my account with his signed
in in the background. This means he can't use his account if I want to play any games I DL from his account.

Is there a way that we can share games and actually play them without needing to stay signed into each others account? I read prior to linking our accounts that people can play the same games together at the same time, but this doesn't seem to be the case at
all.

If I let anyone other than myself access my account, it would be third party, including family members... The license you get for using games can be used in 2 places - one is on your gamertag, the other is on your home console. Needing to set a home console
is what makes it not "fraud" as you imply. It isn't the case of sharing a single account, it is the case of us sharing our games between 2 accounts.

Hello if you want to gameshare there are plenty of great websites out there that walk you through how to, seems like you are missing a step, setting your home xbox. Check out those sites and follow their instructions exactly it should help you out!

We are unable to assist you with this as sharing your account in such a fashion violates the code of conduct as well as your Microsot Services Agreement. Your account is not to be shared like this and could result in your account being suspended for life
which would include losing all the content you have purchased. Sharing your account could also result in your account being stolen. It isnt worth the risk. Everyone who plays must be in possession of a valid license for that game. If you want to share a game
please purchase it on disc which can be shared.

Giving out your account information to anyone is against the code of conduct, even if it is a family member or friend. We all here understand how the home console sharing works. If you are having to sign into the account that downloaded the game then Home
console is not set correctly. You can check out
Home console set up andmake sure it set correctly.
