Friday the 13: The Game no longer backwards compatible?

I have Friday the 13th the Game on disc, and even though the disc can be read and played fine in my Xbox One, my Series X will not recognize the disc no matter how many times I perform a power cycle. I assumed this is because it’s not available in the store anymore so maybe it’s no longer backwards compatible, but I am hopeful for a way to play it on my Series X. Any help?

The game being delisted from purchasing would not remove it from being backwards compatible. It sounds more like it's an issue with the disc since the console won't recognize it.

I thought that a first too… but like I mentioned in the post It works fine in my Xbox One. I’m so confused! Thanks for your reply!

There is no longer way to vote for games to become backwards compatible and backwards compatibility for the One just ended.

This game is not backwards compatible and unfortunately xbox are no longer making backwards compatible games as they are focusing on next gen and upcoming games

Mercenaries is a Xbox Original game, I'm not sure if it can be played on the Xbox 360, some xbox original games are no longer compatible with Xbox 360 backward compatibility.
