Freeze when pressing the guide button

whenever I play a game it will run perfectly fine up until I press the guide button, then it freezes so I have to hard reset. This problem keeps persisting and I would have to reset my Xbox an insane amount of time just to get it to stop doing that.

Here's my experience with the above method: pressing the guide button less than a second after pressing "start game" from the dashboard DID work, however not as cut and dry as written above. The guide button would begin to appear and some information would
appear (such as friends, messages, chat etc) however the game would still freeze with the guide half loaded on the screen. It generally still took roughly 3 minutes for it to unfreeze and load, and I may have helped it along by pressing and holding the guide
button around minute two...

I never got a chance to try allowing it to be jogged loose by getting a notification such as an incoming message or a friend logging on, or if I did it did not appear during the freeze so I couldn't tell. At any rate the strategy does make the game playable,
so my hat is off to you. Cheers.

And pressing the guide button isn't?
