    Freeing up space used by redundant DLC tokens keys downloads despite content already...


    Please allow some content to be determined as required or not on the HDD. I'm talking about the "DLC tokens", or "keys" that are tied to the account and not necessarily required to be downloaded and installed on the HDD despite being listed. I've noticed some games don't have their Season/Car/Battle Pass available to download and some others for example Call of Duty or Forza Motorsport have all of the skins/car downloadable as extra digital tokens despite the content being on the base game and the DLC available even when the token is uninstalled from the HDD. The request is to in two steps.

    let developers/sellers/Marketplace maintainers make content readily available on the base install, and mark tokens as "license only, not download required"

    In the "Free up Space" option, make it determine which of the content tokens doesn't need to be installed, and allow for the content to be cleaned as well as orphaned DLC or duplicate installs. Those tokens are usually 10mb to 50mb. On average there can up to 1Go that can be reclaimed by cleaning up license tokens alone. multiply that by hundreds of games you may have lost between 50gb or more just in DLC license tokens !

    A Good Reason Why Developers Shouldn't Release DLC Locked On Disk.

    i don't mind locked content on disk's, because it save's on hard drive space. it takes up less space to download a 108.8kb unlock key, then a 2 gig content download. but that's me.

    Third DLC Already!!

    The reason we're getting them in such quick succession is because all 4 DLC packs are already completed and have been for weeks.

    We know this because all of the DLC is already on your consoles. That massive 15gb (I may be wrong on the size, been a while) update a few weeks ago was that large because it already has all 4 content packs in it.

    That's why the downloads for each DLC pack is only 22mb each. They're unlock keys.

    I don't know why Capcom chose to do it this way, as it forces players who don't want the DLC to have it take up space on their hard drive anyway.
