Free w/gold xcom not working

When I try to launch xcom it says the game has not been released . I have Uninstalled and reinstalled and power cycled console

I knew Firaxis Could Do it. XCOM2 Coming to Consoles September 6!

Bring on the hours on console smashing frustration!

For those who never played before I recommend XCOM Enemy Unknown which is free later this month via Games with Gold. June 15-30.

Get Massive Chalice. Its the last day its free with Gold and a lot of fun to play if you like Turn Based Strategy games like XCOM.

 

I'm having a similar issue. I downloaded XCOM to my XB1 and played it for a few days. However today when I tried to start it, it shows an error messaging asking if I own it (error 0x803f8001). I deleted it, and when I go to My Apps & Games to reinstall it,
I couldn't find any Xbox 360 titles under Ready to Install. I signed out then back in, and power-cycled the console but it seems to make no difference.

When I go to Xbox Store (on web), it shows I already purchased XCOM.

 

Same issue. Still not resolved. Reported from the console but no response yet.

If not, can you please provide the exact error code you are seeing on the console when you try to play the game?

 

Let's go ahead and try these steps to clear the Xbox 360 storage cache and see if that helps.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.

Select Settings.

Select All settings.

Select System and then select Storage.

Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

Select Yes and restart the console. This will not affect your cloud saved games or Xbox.
