Free trial for live error

I have an old Xbox live account that hardly gets any use but yesterday when I used it on the Xbox 360 , on the dashboard it gave me a month free trial for live, in the UK.

I clicked and went thru the motions but it gave an error of 80190128 on the Xbox 360 so tried logging in thru the web on the desktop and it also had the offer of free trial when I selected 1 month option, but kept giving me an error of c card being used
on another account. I changed the c card to a new one but still receiving the same error.

The customer service representatives are insistent that I can't have the offer as I have had it before.

Is this true ?

Can't I have the offer again as I had it before ?

If so why have they put the offer on my Xbox 360 dashboard ?

Any advice ?

Free xbox live gold

I signed up for xbox live and at the end asked me if I wanted to try xbox live free for 30 days (Trial) and when I went to hit yes or whatever it was and error popped up how can I get my free 30 day trial?

 

I have cleared the system cache and deleted and re-downloaded my profile onto the xbox 360 but still getting the same error.

 

It is my understanding that the free month that they show on the dashboard is only supposed to be for new accounts and used just once.

As you've mentioned, you're getting an error code 80190128. This may mean that the Xbox Live Gold free trial subscription that you’re trying to sign up for has already been redeemed. It is either your Xbox Live account already redeemed the free trial Gold
subscription or the console that you're using already reached the limit for trial accounts (3 per console).
