Free games with gold problem.

I am currently attempting to receive the current free game (sleeping dogs). I have a gold account, however I only have a 4GB console so I am unable to purchase the game because I do not have enough storage. I am aware that I can purchase a HDD external
hard drive but I am about to go on vacation so I do not have time to do so before the offer for this game expires. Is there any way that I can purchase this free game, without having to download onto my xbox so that I may still have it at a later date after
the offer expires? Some help and advice would be much appreciated as I have very limited time to sort this out

No problems sometimes there are just delays on them being made free, and those delays can vary depending on the region your in I was able to get mine late last night, so hopefully you can now too

When I meant that I tried to purchase it from the store I meant from the store section from the console. Sorry if I wasn't specific. I'll try to access it again and see if that works, and thanks for the help.

 

Purchase it and then cancel the download. It will be on your download history and you can redownload it at anytime for free in the future.

I am using a European Xbox purchased in the UK that I have brought to Canada. The region has been changed to Canada approximately 8 months ago or so.

When I try and download the game it says that the disc region is not available in your area. I have tried to download via the pc and I get: "this downloadable content is not available in your region"

I have been able to download and play it if i log into a friends Canadian xbox. This then allows me to download it to my European Xbox, but once complete and I press "play now" I get the error message: The discs region code is incorrect.

Any solutions? Thanks!

 

ps. I have been able to downoad alllll of the other free with gold games...asssasins creed,,,halo fable etc.... with no problem

 

Karimel Romeo -- From now on start your own threads instead of hijacking others (really a poor move for an Ambassador). "Sleeping Dogs" is region locked so the version you downloaded will never work on that console. Buy a Canadian console then do a license
transfer and your problem will go away.

 

Dude relax. I wasnt trying to hijack it. I was just adding it to it since this seems to have been resolved by ppl who know what they are talking about I was hoping they could help me since no1 has replied to my post But point taken. I have also contact
microsoft support and they have said nothing about it being locked whch is unfortunate.

 

Xbox support won't know as you contacted live or hardware support

You need to contact the game publisher

As stated by many people it is region locked and you need a matching console many games require a matching ip

Mostly triple a titles

In this case it is square Enix for game support
