"Free" games require a payment option

Suddenly free gold games require a payment option before I can access the free downloads.

I understand that if I add a payment option, I will get the game free and not be charged.

I DON'T WANT TO ADD A PAYMENT OPTION.

My kid uses the Xbox sometimes, and I don't want her accidentally buying things.

I've always used Microsoft Points/Money Gift Cards for all my purchases.

I'm angry Microsoft is suddenly trying to force me to add a credit card.

You cannot circumvent payment options of a game that has none.

Dear friends, I am a gold member for 2 month (paid for membership for 12 months). I am trying do download the new game "dungeon siege 3", but the download requires a payment. Why it is not free ? Please advise. Vito

 

You don't need to add a creditcard, you can add a PayPal account which is not linked to any bank account and put a password on purchases so your kid can't accidently buy things

 

PayPal does not work for xbox 360 games with gold. I don't even have a credit card so unable to get those advertised games.

 

You won't be able.to make.the purchase until you comply with the requirement sof xboz.live

And yes it is a requirement for xbox 360 games regardless if it is free or not even forgives with gold

It sis still treated as a 0.00 dollar purchase if child purchases are an issue then you shouldn't be allowing anyone can it you to access your profile

You should provide your child their own profile.and yes they can use apps and games and play online as home gold applies to all profiles on the home console

 

With current generation consoles only one profile needs to be gold

But as mentioned the 369 marketplace has different requirements

If you do not have an 369 you must use the web interface with a payment option this includes the xbox one

 

It does woke as advertised you don't understand it

Xbox and psn have requirements that you must pass

For Web purchase you must have a payment option or 360

This does not apply to one games but as mentioned it is a part of the requirements of live

And there is nothing we can tell you but to follow the rules anything else is a violation of the terms of use

We know you don't want to add your CC but it's really required if you're going to get Xbox 360 GWG. You can actually see that on one of the support pages. Link is below.
