Free game up to $29.99

Hi there! I saw an advertisement in the Xbox store for a free game up to $29.99. I looked through the store to find a game I liked, went back to the main page, and I didn't see the advertisement. When I clicked to buy the game I was brought to the payment
screen stating the game would be $29.99 + tax. I understand paying the tax, but the game should be showing as $0 if it were an account credit. Is there a promotion code I should be entering?

I spoke to multiple live chat reps and none of them knew anything about the promotion. My roommate also saw the advertisement so I know I'm not going crazy.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It will come up $29.99, just change the payment type to 'Microsoft Points' and it will change it to FREE

 

Doom 3 BFG Edition

Ended up grabbing this from GAME earlier, not the cheapest (£29.99), but it did come with a free copy of RAGE and 400mspts, so fair enough!

 

The ad is a promotion for the current Games with Gold game, not a game of your own choosing. The current free game is Watchdogs (which is normally $29.99)
