Free dlc not accessible without purchase

Dear Microsoft,

the DLCs in question are the Dragon Age Inquisition free multiplayer updates Destruction and Dragonslayer. They are only included as a part of Bioware and GOTY bundle, and when I try to download them on xbox one it says they are "not sold separately". I
would like to know why?

I tried to download them on my old xbox 360 and had no problem, there are direct link and they are individualy accessible. I already contacted EA but they obviously can not do anything as this is Microsofts jurisdiction.

Can you please fix this obvious mistake, as I can not possibly imagine that if this is an intentional attempt to push people to spend more money, after buying the xbox 360 version of the game and then buying the xbox one version including all other paid
dlcs - not to mention the xbox one itself - I would spend a single penny more on something that is intended to be free of charge. I really hope that is not the case.

DLC not tied to system, tied to account...when did it change?

I did not know this either, but to me it would seem logical from an economical standpoint that content you got through a season pass is only accessible by the account who has the season pass.

So I could imagine that only DLC part of a season pass will be accessible to one account and normal DLC bought without a season pass will stay accessible by all the accounts.

But that is just a guess from me.

anyone with an active subscription to EA Access can download the Second Assault expansion pack for Battlefield 4 starting January 29 and through February 28, free of charge.

All you need to do is find it on the EA Access Hub app on Xbox One.

Battlefield 4 is itself part of the games available through EA Access, without any DLC. This is will be the first piece of DLC to added to the game through the service.

another positive addition to ea access.. i mean bf4 is already in the vault.. so it is good news they may dabble with free dlc for vault games as well.. it may open the door to more ea access content.. i kinda figured at first they would be on a 2 month cycle for game content.. it may shorten that time frame all together... it also helps them keep games active that would otherwise die out... all in all i think ea is doing well with ea access and how it is running so far.

It is a normal game installed from disc. I just checked it and oddly enough when I view the normal and the GOTY version of the game on Microsoft store both says this product is installed.

Sorry I double checked and only the normal version has the option to play, the GOTY has buy to own.

 

Ok, that confirms the issue with the DLC.

I don't know for sure, but maybe the standard game has backwards compatibility and the GOTY edition don't.

 

I am not sure because the GOTY bundle contains the original game and all dlcs for the game. Microsoft also sells a "DLC bundle" bundle witch cost the same as the GOTY edition and contain all dlcs minus the multiplayer ones and the original game. If I knew
this at the time of purchase I would have gone with the GOTY edition. Is there a way to get a refund or just add the multiplayer dlc to my account so I can dowload them?

No I have not, I have got on disc I only bought the "DLC bundle" digitally.

 

ok, for refunding try the following.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com

login to your microsoft/xbox account

Click on "Payments and billing" --> "Order history"

This will bring you to this page: Sign in to your Microsoft account

Here you will find the game you have bought, with a button "Request a refund" (see example picture)

So
the first picture shows the content of the GOTY bundle, the second is one of the free dlc showing not sold separately, while the third shows in which bundle they included in.

If I just search for additional content from my game manage and addons screen, it will only show the paid dlcs as already owned and in game currency packs for multiplayer.

 

If you have the GOTY installed, go to the game tile, and then go to settings using the controller to manage the game.

Go to installs, and see if you can download them there, most in game DLC with GOTY versions, just need to be downloaded not purchased.

 

I dont have the GOTY version installed I own the normal version. The available addons for this game are the following.
