    fraudulent Xbox account


    I was having trouble changing my email on my account. It kept rejecting my password.

    I found an account using my personal name, email address and other data. It is a different gamer tag. The email address used is the the one I want to use. And before you ask I already own it and have been using it for years.

    I'm sure it was one of my grandkids that set this up, but none admit to it.

    It could also be because of fraudulent behavior on the account. Have you been doing anything illegal on the Xbox live account or the Xbox 360 console itself?

    How does one get a refund for fraudulent charges to my xbox live account? Foreign based customer NO-SERVICE is completely useless.

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. I'm sorry that you seem to be having some difficulty in updating your account alias. If the email address that you wish to use has already been taken by another account that you don't have access to, then you
    would not be able to choose to use it as the primary alias on your existing account.

    That being said, you can always use a different email address that you do have access to as a new alias (email address for log in) on your current account or create a new email address to do so. I'm including some links in this post that may be of use to
    you in changing or updating your email alias or recovering your password.

    Apparently, Xbox automatically rolls over to the new card numbers because they're issued in my name. Also, I haven't been able to find the phone number I used to talk to a "real live" person at Microsoft.
