    Fraudulent purchase of xbox points card


    Hi

    While I was busy copying files on my laptop I went out of the room to make some lunch. When I got back, my laptop was being remote controlled by a hacker.

    I turned off the WiFi and then got rid of the root kit that they had been using for the connection.

    However, I have discovered that during the remote control they purchased an Xbox Points card on my Windows 10 Store for £50. As my accounts are all linked, this automatically came out of Barclaycard.

    I have automatic billing turned off on my Microsoft store so they must have had the password on autorecognise.

    How to I dispute this transaction?

    Start off with support.microsoft.com

    Also, contact your bank to let them know, in case there are more transactions that haven't appeared yet.

    Also, I suggest running Malwarebytes antimalware as well as your antivirus to keep you safe :)

    Id also speak to the fraud team at your bank and get your card stopped. They could have access to your card details for other purchases by using this purchase to view the card details.

    I've had one through saying i've purchased 5000 points, but it couldn't go through because i haven't got enough money in my bank, i'm going to ring up and inform xbox of this, but it might just be spam?

    I had 3250 points stolen, someone bought FIFA with my points and after talking with support and waiting to here back after an investigation they basically said that no one out side of myself used my account with out my permission, so they basically blamed
    me for buying the FIFA, and I am now out 3250 points. and will never buy points again!!!!!!!!!!!!
