    Fraudulent purchase of game. What to do next?


    Hello everyone,

    I have recently noticed a payment of roughly £60 charged to my online bank account that was a PayPal purchase. After viewing my transactions on PayPal it was noted down as a Microsoft purchase for Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition. Which came as a surprise to me as I do not own an Xbox or game on my pc.

    I then logged into my Microsoft account to find that the game was purchased and gifted to an email account very similar to mine but with a few characters changed. This has now confirmed to me that this is a fraudulent purchase.

    I have changed my passwords to both my Microsoft account and my PayPal as well as deleting my PayPal method of purchase from my Microsoft account. Now i would like to get my money returned to me but I'm a bit lost on how to proceed as I seem to be going around in circles from link to link.

    Can anyone please point me in the right direction please on how to proceed with this, thank you.

    If the purchase was actually made on your microsoft account, then you can appeal this to the refund team.

    Please explain in detail in the form that I will send ok?

    Click on "Why don't I see my purchase in the list?" on the next screen click on "none of the alternatives" and fill in the form then

    well two things first

    Dont use the same email and password for every site

    1st you can still call support you will have to match the exact info from when you created the account

    they will still return the account if you can prove you are the owner

    2nd read this and follow it to the letter



    passwords should not be small caps only

    it should more be like h3ll0W0r1dtryt0f1NdM3



    the yahoo breakin proved people still use 12345678 on passwords thats a very very bad idea

    Same thing happened to me. Today I have checked my Microsoft points balance and I have found out I only have 80 left out of more than 4,000. I am from Romania and when I bought my console I had to create an account using details from UK, such as ZIP code
    an other things so I guess I won't be able to call for support. I had to do so back then because there was no option for my country available to choose from in the dropdown list of countries... I guess my points are lost for good. Anyway, I don't think I'll
    buy more points ever.

    With the above, make sure you give the agent the correct details of your address, name, email, phone number as if you give anything wrong the case will be on hold and you will be forced to wait even longer to get your account back and your Microsoft Points.
